Mathematics Advanced Teachers Network Meeting
With the busy nature of schools, new syllabuses, increasing emphasis on working mathematically and the challenge of supporting students to develop deep conceptual understanding, teachers of the Stage 6 Mathematics Advanced course are continually refining their practice. Connecting with other teachers who share responsibility for this course provides valuable opportunities to discuss approaches, explore ideas and share strategies that strengthen student understanding and performance.
MANSW's Mathematics Advanced Teachers Network brings teachers together to debrief, reflect, explore and learn in a positive and constructive way. Our education consultants will guide participants through activities that allow them to discuss key ideas in the course, share effective teaching approaches and explore ways to support students to reason, communicate and succeed in Mathematics Advanced.
This full day meeting will offer:
- Strategies for teaching challenging concepts in Mathematics Advanced
- Discussion of key syllabus ideas and HSC expectations
- Resources and activities ready for your classroom
- Collaboration opportunities that enrich your teaching and your mathematical skills.
Whether you are an experienced teacher of Mathematics Advanced or teaching the course for the first time, this network is for you.
