The Primary Association for Mathematics (PAM) committee is proud to present their third annual conference. In 2014, the conference is expanding to cover primary and middle years. The K-8 conference is an excellent opportunity for primary and secondary teachers to gain professional learning that is focused on the implementation of the new K-10 Mathematics Syllabus.

The 2014 conference will feature a keynote presentation by the very popular Dr Paul Swan, and four, one-hour sessions with over 30 workshops to select from. The workshops will cover a wide range of topics and will include hands-on sessions covering all strands of the NSW syllabus from Early Stage 1 to Stage 4.

Connect with Maths (AAMT) Project

Contemporary learning using digital technologes offers a range of learning opportunities for mathematics. Caty Morris, our National Indigenous Manager for the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers ( AAMT), is currently working with teachers in the Kimberley and will provide us with a daily blog.

The blog will highlight approaches to teaching and learning with Indigenous Learners in the Kimberley Success Zone. Caty will be sharing with them some of the great work to come out of the 8 Make It Count clusters. Caty will also be capturing the knowledge and expertise of educators in the schools and looking for ways forward in maths for Aboriginal students in their communities.

To follow Caty please go to her blog on the Connect with Maths Make it Count with Indigenous Learners go to this weblink.

Please provide Caty with feedback or questions. We hope you enjoy this valuable online learning experience.

* Please remember to login first so that you can participate in the Connect with Maths community.
